“Read widely in various genres and pay attention to what you like and love...At a certain point, [though,] all the reading in the genre or about the genre isn’t going to be enough—you have to write in the genre." -Dr. James Tobin at the First Annual Oxford Writing Festival

Who can come?
Everyone! The festival is open to readers and writers of all ages, so invite your friends, beg your parents, plan a field trip! If you're interested in bringing a large group and would like to work with us to make the best experience for your group, we'd be happy to help, just shoot us an e-mail and we'll see what we can do.
What do I need to bring?
You may want to bring paper and a writing utensil in case you're inspired or want to remember something specific, but otherwise you just need to bring yourself--and a few friends!
How much does the festival cost?
Nothing. The festival is free for all!
I'm driving to Oxford/the festival. Where do I park?
Parking will depend on the location and time. If it's after 7:00, anyone can park on campus at Miami University. You may have to go inside Shriver Center to get a visitor's pass for parking on campus. In Oxford, metered parking is available along Campus Ave., High Street, and other side streets.
